Swimming at the beach is always safe for there are no huge waves or rips. Fishing off the beach is good, and you will often see locals on the beach with their rods as the sun comes up or goes down.

None of the beaches in Hervey Bay are over-crowded and Shelly Beach is no exception. Some days you can have the whole beach to yourself and then it’s just too easy to relax and unwind.

And you never know what you will see in the water, Turtles, Dolphins and Dugongs all visit Shelly Beach regularly.

Of course, you don’t have to cross the road to enjoy the beach. The view from each balcony is stunning.
